Congress and the administration are focused on reforming the country’s immigration policies and addressing the status of the nation’s 12 million unauthorized immigrants.  Yet, what are the prospects for real reform and can Congress agree on legislation?  The Brookings Institution and Migration Policy Institute will co-host a discussion on comprehensive immigration reform with keynote remarks by Congressmen Jeff Flake (R-AZ) and Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), the authors of the STRIVE Act (Security Through Regularized Immigration and a Vibrant Economy).  Following their remarks, a panel of national experts will discuss the content of the proposed law and the possibilities of immigration reform in the 110th Congress.

For the latest information on legislation related to comprehensive immigration reform, read the Migration Information Source's Policy Beat.
